When I search by title it returns all keys I have those charts in. to the end of each file name and title to make it easy to sort. To solve any key issues I took a lowbrow approach and just appended a -Bb, -Eb, -C etc. It's also nice not to have to worry about a stand light, or even a traditional stand when I use the tablet style stand. Sorting and searching is a breeze, and several times someone has called for a tune I didn't even know I had. It's worked great for organizing set lists and making notations on the fly with the S-Pen.

I'm using a 12' android tablet and Mobilesheets as my reading app. It took me the better part of 8 months to get everything converted from paper and I'm still transcribing stuff here and there. When I got back into gigging about five years ago I took the leap to digital. SO many real books and duplicate charts and binders for different gigs. This was a huge problem for me back in the day. So if there's a more optimal solution out there I'd be glad to hear about it. But I would still like to keep the ring binder solution, it's great to be able to write something on the page without having to take it out of a plastic sleeve everytime. My book is becoming really thick with a lot of white pages and taping paper to accommodate for the third page, thus making it tedious to find a specific piece when required. But lately our music director has been writing more complex arrangements that require three pages and this does not work so well. Before a gig, I simply put little stickers on the charts I need.

With this solution of course, the charts can't be arranged in alphabetical order, but it doesn't bother me. I could simply use a single sheet of paper to print the last page of a piece on the front page and the first page of the next piece on the back. It was quite easy to manage when we had relatively simple arrangements that did not exceed two pages. I bought a ring binding machine years ago and I've been using a ring binder to organize the charts of my band since then.
